Residents of Yarmouth and Dennis’ villages enjoy a convenient lifestyle centrally located within Cape Cod. Twenty beaches along the shoreline offer stunning views, particularly for those who own waterfront property. Those dwelling within are centrally located in the middle of Cape Cod, making trips to other nearby villages and the mainland simple. Main thoroughfares are lined with locally owned eateries, businesses, inns, sporting shops, and a few mini-golf courses, with several historic sites concentrated along Route 6A. 
 

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Yarmouth is home to a number of classically styled eateries serving American favorites and fine New England seafood. The Old Yarmouth Inn has been a Cape Cod icon since 1696 and is one of New England‘s longest-running businesses. Whole lobsters, oysters, and crème brûlée are just a few of their best-selling classics. Captain Parker's Pub is another long-standing establishment serving a menu of local seafood — try their famous clam chowder, fish and chips, or lobster rolls.
 
Nearby Dennis also features a similar selection of fine coastal fare. However, The Rooftop at Pelham House Resort offers an excellent oceanfront view which can be enjoyed all 12 months of the year. Scallops, seafood mac & cheese, and other elevated classics are paired with ice-cold cocktails, white-glove service, and a beautiful dessert menu.
 
The Ocean House Restaurant boasts breathtaking waterfront views from their open dining room and expansive patio, with a similar menu. Located a bit more inland, The Pheasant is another option not to be missed. An old farm from centuries past has been transformed into a cozy, rustic space serving craft cocktails and old-fashioned comfort food sprinkled with French influence. 
 

Things to Do

A quiet boardwalk extends out into Bass Hole Beach alongside a serene stretch of beach where those seeking some peace and quiet are sure to find it. On Thursday mornings from June through September, the locals turn out in droves for the Bass River Farmers Market, where attendees can graze over local produce, handmade goods, dairy products, flowers, and other specialty items designed to bring something special to your summertime table. Sports can also be enjoyed on the Cape - no need to drive into the city to catch a ball game. The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox play at Red Wilson Field In the East Division of the Cape Cod Baseball League.
